Love this quirky Western circus inspired decorative gold type for Porsena Restaurant on East 7th Street in the East Village (NY).
Love this bright yellow pasta packaging for Martelli. Great custom typography/illustration and delicious pasta too.
More nice custom sans serif typography for Corsino Restaurant in the West Village (NY).
Love this retro sign for Maglione’s Italian Ices, (especially the wonky script type) found parked at the Hoboken (N.J.) pier in the summer.

“The Beautiful and Eclectic Typography of Italy”. We are really fascinated by the range and well executed type signage all over Italy. The next few posts are from different Italian cities.
Another cool piece of found type; the painted on wood sign for Terroni restaurant on Queen St. West (Toronto, Ontario). The serifs get thicker from left to right, but it’s rustic and charmingly simple approach seems to work.
Really like this weathered custom lettering for Calamari Cafe in Boston’s Little Italy (MA).
Hand drawn and type on glass at Arturo’s Coal Oven Pizza in the West Village at 106 West Houston Street (NY).
